Dell Experience Lounge

This project consisted of renovation of approximately 3,000 sq. ft. of existing Dell open office into a unique, high-concept space where team members can learn about the latest Dell products. The Experience Lounge is defined by a steel structural frame wrapped in continuous white-gloss plastic laminate, infilled with structural glass panel walls. A suspended light box hovers over a 30-foot long bi-level central table allowing Dell computers and products to be explored in a hands-on manner. LED adjustable track lights and individual LED chandeliers also light the space. Cutting edge audiovisual features include a multi-monitor video wall, an interactive projector wall, and recessed drop-down screen and Dell projector.

Cushing Terrell produced three original art pieces by attaching recycled parts of computers to MDF and painting them white. Two smaller pieces are displayed under glass in custom tables, while the third is 10 ft. wide by 8’6″ tall, taking up an entire wall! The pieces are meant to illustrate Dell’s commitment to recycling — with signage stating, “Dell has the world’s largest take-back program with recycling services in 78 countries and territories. Since 2007, Dell has recovered more than 1.4 billion pounds of used electronics.”
