College of Southern Idaho

Campus Master Plan
From College of Southern Idaho’s original master plan in 1966 to three future iterations (including a 2015 version), Cushing Terrell has been there to help shape CSI’s 240-acre campus each step of the way. Countless built projects have resulted from successful planning and funding, and in the last 20 years, our team has partnered with CSI on design and construction of over a dozen major campus projects, including: the Student Recreation Center, Fine Arts Building, Shields Academic Building, Taylor Administration Building, Student Apartments, and Health Sciences and Human Services Building.

Health Sciences and Human Services (HSHS) Building
Cushing Terrell provided programming through construction services for this 72,270 sq. ft. facility. The influence and commitment of the college to this LEED Gold-certified building was unparalleled. The two-story HSHS houses CSI’s healthcare education programs, general classrooms, lecture halls, simulation training spaces, and administrative and faculty offices. The project was the recipient of an Outstanding Design Award from American School and University.

Student Apartment Complex
This two-story apartment housing project is the first of its kind to be built on CSI’s campus. The efficient mix of 20 single- and 20 double-bedroom units is a prototype for a planned build-out of three buildings totaling 120 living units. The significant use of brick on the building’s exterior compliments the palate of the campus’s academic core while providing a welcoming residential scale. The interior finishes are durable, bright, and appropriately daylit, with operable exterior windows.
