Project Overview:
One of the city's historic landmarks, the Granary Restaurant, was looking to create an entirely new and upscale personality to update its still popular but outmoded facility; and the CTA Interior Design department was up to the task. The challenge, retain the historical feeling of this 1935 milling facility while creating an atmosphere of the history and charm associated with the American West with an added air of sophistication. Focal points include the welcoming and elegant horseshoe bar. Guests also enjoy a large, classic art collection featuring pieces by western artist J.K. Ralston from the owner's private collection. Regional stone, a rich appetizing color palette, and dark cherry wood casework result in the award-winning rustic country house look that serves as a welcoming place for good food, wine, and conversation.
