Building Performance Modeler – Billings

Work with A/E design teams to provide iterative modeling support for sustainable design strategies.
Provide comprehensive model evaluation of sustainable design techniques, and building performance analysis. Utilize modeling software, such as, IES VE and Autodesk Ecotect to inform clients of project design decisions. Proficiency in Revit, Sketchup, AutoCAD and additional 3D Modeling software such as 3D Studio Max is preferred.

Commissioning Agent – Billings, Jackson

CTA’s facility group is seeking a commissioning agent with a mechanical engineering or mechanical engineering technology degree. Associate degree in HVAC, or five years of related HVAC experience, will be considered. Knowledge of temperature control and mechanical systems operations, including air and water balancing. Challenging position with a combination of office and field work. Ability to travel required. Basic computer, technical writing, good communication skills and valid driver’s license necessary.

Electrical Engineer – Austin, Billings, Missoula, Seattle

Seeking licensed Electrical Engineer with experience in commercial, government, retail and/or
healthcare buildings including lighting, power and special systems. Responsibilities include developing reliable electrical system concepts, project management and accepting full responsibility for preparation of electrical construction documents for commercial projects. Significant leadership, management, marketing and training responsibilities are required. Candidate will function as trusted adviser to clients and team members and be responsible for day-today management of significant projects. Revit experience helpful.

Electrical Engineer in Training/Intern – Austin, Billings, Missoula

Seeking candidates with 0-5 yrs. experience. Must have a thorough knowledge of design components and design experience in electrical building systems including lighting, power and special systems. Knowledge of Revit is a plus.

Mechanical Engineer – Austin, Seattle

Seeking a Sr. Mechanical Engineer who has experience and a passion for designing ‘high performance’ or ‘passive’ delivery systems. PE License is required. Consulting HVAC experience and LEED Accreditation is expected. Candidate must be comfortable taking a lead role alongside architects in an integrated design team approach. Experience with heating/cooling load calculations, passive system engineering, equipment selection, specifications, cost estimating, code compliance, pipe/duct/operable window sizing, digital control sequences and hybrid system layout is required. Candidate must be proficient coordinating hybrid heating-cooling-ventilating equipment and controls, have expertise coordinating duct work and piping layouts with architectural and structural designs, and have excellent communication skills for developing client relationships and leading/mentoring junior staff. Energy modeling, natural ventilation modeling, thermal mass modeling, life cycle costing, and ability to market direct engineering services to clients is beneficial.

Interior Designer – Billings, MT

Immediate position available for a creative design professional.  Successful candidate will join a high-energy professional design team and manage and coordinate interior design projects for commercial buildings.

Responsibilities will include interior design, space planning, material selections, documentation for presentation and construction, furniture planning and procurement.

Must have a degree from a four year accredited design school and 3 to 5 yrs. experience with commercial building projects. NCIDQ certification desired. AutoCad/Revit experience preferred.

Some travel required. Candidate must have excellent communication, presentation and organizational skills.

Architect in Training (AIT)/Intern Architect – Seattle WA

Seeking an Architect in Training with 3-5 years experience for large scale commercial projects.  Qualified candidate will be able to develop technical solutions under the supervision of an experienced Architect; electronically draft plans, elevations, sections and details.

Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp, MS Office, Photoshop required.  Revit a plus.  CADD input and drawing set up, redline correction, plotting and related skills needed.  Candidate will have the ability to develop and draft floor plans, sections and designs as well as assist in developing and producing Construction Documents and developing details.  Candidate will also serve as a resource for development of drawings, specifications, cost estimates and construction practices.

Knowledge of cost estimating, construction administration, and budget management a plus.
